WILDFLOWERS Poppy

An annual, growing up to 60cm tall. The large scarlet, tissue paper petals are the traditional emblem of Remembrance. They will add a splash of bright colour to borders and wilder garden areas as well as attracting bees into the garden.

To Sow & Grow:
Sow outdoors where they are to flower, 0.5cm (1/4) deep, directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Seedling usually appear in 14-28 dyays. Thin seedlings to 15cm (6) apart. Water well until plants are established. For continuous display, make sowings at two to three week intervals. Sowings made in curves rather than straight lines often create a more pleasing effect. Late summer and autumn sowings will flower the following year, often earlier than spring sowings.
