CARROT Autumn King 2

A splendid maincrop carrot, producing long, pointed roots. Its fine colouring and excellent flavour make this one of the most appetising of carrots. Ideal for keeping. Grows well in an open position on light, rich soil that has not been recently manured.

To Sow and Grow: Sow outdoors thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm (1/2) deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Allow 30cm (1) between rows. Early sowings may benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Thin by harvesting young carrots evenly in 14-21 days. Regular sowings made every three weeks will ensure a continuous supply of young roots. Roots can be lifted in auatumn. Remove soil and store in dry sand.
