Reliable high yielding Detroit type producing, globe shaped beets with a deep red colour. Suitable for growing as baby or standard beets.

For outdoor sowing:

When - April to July

Where - In a prepared seed bed.

How - Sow thinly in rows 30cm (12in) apart. Cover with 2.5cm (1in) of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Seedlings appear 7-21 days. for continuous crops sow every 2-3 weeks.

Care - When large enough thin to 10cm (4in) apart. Keep moist and weed free.

Harvest - June - October, start to harvest when golf ball size for baby beet. Twist the tops off as this prevents bleeding.
