Melon (Italian Kitchen)

Melon - Melone Rugoso di Cosenza giallo.
Sweet, creamy flesh. Large, oval, yellow fruit. For greenhouse or cold frame.

Cultural Instructions - Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 15-20C (60-68F) placing the seed on its edge and covering with 13mm (1/2) of compost. Transplant when large enough to handle into 75mm (3) pots, grow on and finally plant into the greenhouse border, grow bags or large pots. If growing in cold frames, plant out when risk of frosts has passed. Restrict growth by pinching out shoots after they have formed 5 leaves.
