Racing Runners- Have a competition to grow the longest bean!
*Step 1* Sow seeds outdoors, May to June, 5cm deep and 25cm apart.
*Step 2* Or, start in pots of compost on a windowsill in April and place young plants outside in May-June.
*Step 3* Provide wigwams of long canes or netting for the plants to grow.
*Step 4* Harvest from July to October leaving the longest beans to grow to champion size.
