Tomato The Amateur (Heritage Collection)

The Amateur - Medium sized, early ripening fruits about 85g (3oz) in weight of good flavour. Well cropped on a compact bush plant outdoors. No support required. Recommend to grow under a cloche to promote earlier ripening.

Sow Instructions: Place seed on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp, seed sowing mix and cover with a fine sprinkling of sowing mix or vermiculite. Place in a propagator at a constant temperature of around 18-20C (64-68F) until after germination, which takes 7-14 days.

Growing Instructions:Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Plant in final situation when 20cm (8in) high, 45cm (18in) apart. This is a bush variety and will not require the removal of side shoots.

Harvest July until first frost.
