An excellent clump forming perennial for the border! Bergamot has wonderful aromatic foliage (actually the flavouring in Earl Grey tea) and beautiful deep scarlet, pink and purple blooms. Tolerates dry conditions and prefers a sunny situation with well drained soil. Bergamot attracts beneficial insects into the garden. Trim the plants after flowering.
