An abundance of vivid, lilac-blue flowers above small, dark-green, serrated leaves. Perfect for hanging baskets as well as pots and containers. Grows to a height of 12in. (30cm) and a spread of 18in. (45cm). Halfhardy annual.
To Sow and Grow: Sow indoors, to flower the same year, 0.5cm (1/4) deep, in a tray of compost. Water well and place in a greenhouse or on a warm kitchen windowsill. A temperature of 20-25C (68F-77F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. If germination is slow or erratic, Place the tray in a refridgerator or outside for 1-2 weeks, then return to the warmth. Transplant seedlings to 8cm (3) pots of compost when large enough to handle. (always hold seedlings by leaf never by the stem.) Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 23cm (9) apart when frosts are over.
